Skin, Soft Tissue & Limbs
Conditions affecting the skin, soft tissues, and limbs can cause discomfort, functional limitation, or concern. Surgical treatment may be recommended when symptoms persist, worsen, or interfere with daily activities.
Dr Ahmed Naqeeb provides assessment and surgical management for a range of skin, soft tissue, and limb conditions using established, evidence-based techniques. Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual following a thorough consultation.
Skin Cancer & Melanoma Surgery
Skin cancer surgery may be recommended for lesions that are confirmed or suspected to be malignant, including melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers. Early assessment and appropriate surgical management are important to achieve optimal outcomes.
Dr Ahmed Naqeeb provides surgical excision of skin cancers using evidence-based techniques, with careful attention to complete removal of the lesion while preserving surrounding healthy tissue where possible.
Carpal Tunnel Release
Carpal tunnel release is a surgical procedure used to relieve pressure on the median nerve at the wrist. It may be recommended for patients experiencing persistent symptoms such as numbness, tingling, weakness, or pain in the hand that has not improved with non-surgical treatment.
The procedure aims to reduce nerve compression and improve hand function.
Hand Tendon Repair
Hand tendon repair may be required following injury to restore movement and function of the fingers or hand. Surgery is performed to repair the damaged tendon and support healing.
Post-operative care and rehabilitation are an important part of recovery and will be discussed during your consultation.
Toenail Surgery
Toenail surgery is commonly performed to treat recurrent or painful ingrown toenails. The procedure involves removing part or all of the affected nail to relieve symptoms and reduce the risk of ongoing infection or discomfort.
This is typically performed as a minor procedure.
Minor Skin Lesion Removal
Minor skin lesion removal may be recommended for lesions that are symptomatic, changing in appearance, or require further assessment. This may include the removal of benign or suspicious lesions for diagnostic purposes.
Where appropriate, removed tissue may be sent for pathological examination.
Lump or Cyst Removal
Lumps or cysts beneath the skin are common and often benign. Surgical removal may be advised if a lump is painful, infected, increasing in size, or causing concern.
The procedure involves removing the lesion and surrounding tissue as clinically indicated.
